Laura Etta "Hattie" Wentworth was b.abt.1869, probably at Sidney, ME, daughter of Edwin Augustus Wentworth and Sarah Jane Glazier. Her great granddaughter knew her and understood that she was Indian. Hattie was a midwife and herbal doctor. We have not been successful in determining where the Native blood comes in, but it may be in the Glazier line of Bath, ME. If it is in the Wentworth line it goes back a number of generations to perhaps the Star or Gaslin families of Boston and Vassalboro.
