Please Help Us - Anyone Can Do it
Our Organization Is About Exploring & Sharing
Our focus is on the Abenaki of Western Maine (West of the Kennebec River). However, due to the semi-nomadic lifestyle and intertribal & interracial marriages, materials and families from all over the Northeast are of value.
Here are just a few of the many ways that anyone can assist us:
- Contribute Family Genealogy, Pictures, Oral Traditions of Your Native Ancestors
- Contribute Local Historical Materials and Oral Traditions Concerning Native People.
- Give Us Tips about Places Relating to Native People
- Send Us Information on New Sources of Materials Relating to Native People
- Send Us Notification of Conferences, Workshops, or Other Educational Opportunities Which May Relate to Wabanaki People.
- Send Addresses of Web Sites We Should Know About
- Send Names & Addresses of Local Historians We Should be Acquainted With
- Contribute Birth, Death, and Marriage Records of Native People in Your Area
- Contribute MONEY (We Do Have Expenses!)
Remember - anything you contribute with financial value is TAX DEDUCTIBLE !!!
Send contributions toNe-Do-Ba- Even Better - attach your materials to an e-mail messagenedoba@roadrunner.com. We can except most any type of computer file. We do prefer text files to be ASCII (plain text - usually .txt or .asc), as they are easier for us to work with. Graphic files in most common formats are welcome. We have Roots Magic Software and can also except GEDCOM and PAF genealogy files.
Don't Forget to include your name and address (U.S. Mail and e-mail when available) - it will be kept confidential (no annoying phone calls, mailings, etc.) - but we do like to know who our friends are. We may also need to contact you for more information concerning your contributions.
