This mission village is made up of Huron. The Huron and Wabanaki did intermarry, therefore, we find Huron families among the Wabanaki and Wabanaki families among the Huron.

  • 1697 - The mission moved to the plateau above the rapids of Saint-Ambroise on the St. Charles River, near the Laurentian Mountains

  • The mission is called "Jeune" or "Indian Lorette," while their former home is known as "Ancienne Lorette."
