  • Brunswick Falls, Maquoit, Mare Point "customary places of resort" for the Abenaki
 

Pejepscot/Brunswick Falls was their usual "place of resort" and " [Merrymeeting Bay] one of the great trails or passes between eastern and western tribes, where the savages met in council to plan expeditions against the English."
